“delilah is a British luxury brand, inspired by the quintessentially British surroundings of everyday life and traditional influences from our British heritage.”

delilah launched in 2014 with three friends (a make-up artist, beauty buyer and photographer) deciding to combine all their experiences and knowledge to create a new cosmetics brand. I first came across the brand at an event a couple of months ago and have been trying out a few of their products since.

The first thing I noticed was how good looking their packaging is and after doing some research on the brand, it turns out they were inspired by English influences, from Britannia Metal, to the crown gold accents that run through the whole line. Crown gold was a rose coloured gold introduced by Henry VIII to replace the gold sovereign. And the symbol itself being a pale pink Delilah rose, a true icon of British beauty.

The entire range of products are paraben and cruelty free too! Here are a few tried and tested favourites from the collection:

Future Resist Foundation Primer

Under Wear is a serum with a silky feel, helping skin appear smoother. I usually need to wear a primer especially for my smile lines to avoid any creasing and this really does the job. It’s one of the thickest primers I have tried, so it really feels as if lines are being smoothed out and my foundation also stays put much longer. Retails online for £34.

Micro-fine Loose Powder

My new favourite powder! This product is extremely lightweight so it doesn’t leave your skin feeling as if its caked in makeup. It also leaves a really nice finish after foundation is applied. Retails online for £42.

Compact Powder Blusher

I know I keep saying I don’t wear blusher and then it continues to pop up in my favourites every month, but this really is a good’un. delilah currently have three different colours of blush and they are all again, extremely lightweight on the skin leaving a gentle and natural flush of colour. Retails online for £26.

Really excited to see the new products this brand create, I’m a big fan already!
